Seasonal Switch-Off

The Homeschool Village is back to their regularly scheduled programing and I've posted about how to do the end of summer season switch...I am in NO.WAY ready for summer to end.
EVER.
 Seriously.
I l.o.v.e having a tan and working in the yard for hours,
reading on the porch to the kids,
drinking iced tea,
twilight bonfires and
all.things.summer
(o.k. 'cept mosquito's and flies- evidence of the fall and all that).

But, it's gonna happen, whether I like it or not. Cold weather. Time to get ready.

Me? We are still building furniture and re-claiming 1 or 2 more pieces we salvaged from the fire, have the finishing touches  to do to the front porch once Viking Man finishes re-building the wall for the lockers, curriculum to order, memory work to get planned, classes for TC and co-op to finalize, and hopefully, now that the evil on-line class dh has been teaching is finally.over, we can start working on the second floor again. Sanding floors and adding built-ins. My in-laws have been an integral part of our little re-build project despite living hours and hours away and, in addition to planning the kitchen and all sorts of other stuff, my mil has found a product to make the loathsome stair reclamation task glow with possibilities. The relief this brings me is huge.

What are you doing to get ready for the season switch? It'll be here before we know it!
