Micro Snapper

Discovered on a walk between the spring storms...

Several springs have found us in our side yard confronted by a 2' long pre-historic, reptilian, creature of the black lagoon looking, moss covered snapping turtle. We've done a bit of reading on them and they leave water to lay eggs. We figured the nesting grounds were through our yard, away from the river. This is the first small snapper we've seen.

Pretty cool, eh?
