Yet Another Reason to LOVE Homeschooling

No arbitrary age/gender segregation.

Exhibit A:

My friend Jannell snapped this picture at our weekly after co-op get together. S baby #9 was snoozing on her blankie, woke up and was cooing for attention. Big Bro and friends got down on the floor with beautiful baby and surrounded her with LOVE.

You tell me homeschoolers aren't socialized and I'll tell you that they just aren't socialized to be average joes. I love that.

What's one of your favorite reasons for homeschooling?

Oh, I LOVE this! I have had the same thoughts when I watch my six year old run up to a group of teenage boys playing football after co-op and give them all high fives and then they invite him into the game - homeschooled children have an appreciation for all ages, and sometimes I honestly don't think they think about "Grade levels" -- love your post today!

That is a precious picture. I agree, homeschooling children seem to have a tenderness toward younger children that others don't have.

Love it! And one of my favorite reasons? Relaxed mornings. I love that it's 9 a.m. and we're all still just waking up, having our breakfasts, doing our morning thing. I can't imagine having to do the morning hustle day after day.

Love the picture!

One of my favorite reasons for homeschooling is seeing my boys become such great friends with each other. I don't know that they would be so close if we didn't spend so much time together. I love that we love being together.

My favorite reason is spending time together AND having a flexible schedule so that we can take advantage if all kinds of opportunities not available to children in regular school. :-)

What a wonderful pic and memory! I agree--most homeschool kids don't know any "better" than to hang out with any and all available interesting people.

So cute! One of my favorites is that the little guys are welcome to learn above their grade level when we are studying something together.
